Compressors and industrial equipment
Air compressors, refrigerant compressors and welding equipment. How their energy test behaves, what Energy Mark reads early, and where each product is regulated.
The test
What the energy test looks like
Compressors run on a calorimeter or flow test stand until conditions settle, then capacity and power are recorded at rated points. Welding equipment is measured across its operating states.
The early read
What Energy Mark reads
- Discharge temperature and pressure settling
- Power and current draw
- Suction and ambient conditions
- Capacity or flow trend
It predicts: Capacity, input power and efficiency at rated points, with a range. The certified result still comes from the full test.
