Product family
Laundry and dishwashing
Washing machines, washer-dryers, tumble dryers and dishwashers. How their energy test behaves, what Energy Mark reads early, and where each product is regulated.
The test
What the energy test looks like
A standard load runs through a full programme, several times over and at more than one load size. Each run can take hours, and the rating is an average across runs.
The early read
What Energy Mark reads
- Energy in the water-heating phase
- Drum, pump or heater power profile
- Water intake volume and temperature
- Programme phase timing
It predicts: Energy and water use per cycle, with a range, from the early phases of each run. The certified result still comes from the full test.
