Energy Mark

Product family

Cooking

Induction hobs, LPG stoves, microwave ovens, ovens and range hoods. How their energy test behaves, what Energy Mark reads early, and where each product is regulated.

The test

What the energy test looks like

Hobs and stoves heat a standard water load; ovens heat a test load to a set temperature. Tests repeat across burners, zones or cavities, and the rating combines them.

The early read

What Energy Mark reads

  • Heat-up rate in the first minutes
  • Power or gas flow profile
  • Load temperature rise
  • Ambient and vessel conditions

It predicts: Thermal efficiency or energy per cycle, with a range. The certified result still comes from the full test.
