Energy Mark

Product family

Displays and electronics

Televisions, computers, office equipment, phones, servers and power supplies. How their energy test behaves, what Energy Mark reads early, and where each product is regulated.

The test

What the energy test looks like

Displays play a standard video loop while power is logged. Computers and office equipment move through on, idle, sleep and standby modes. Results are averages across set periods and modes.

The early read

What Energy Mark reads

  • Power over the early part of the test loop
  • Mode transitions and timing
  • Luminance and brightness settings
  • Supply voltage

It predicts: Average on-mode power and mode-weighted energy, with a range. The certified result still comes from the full test.
