Tyres
Rolling resistance testing for tyre energy labels. How their energy test behaves, what Energy Mark reads early, and where each product is regulated.
The test
What the energy test looks like
The tyre runs against a test drum at set load, pressure and speed. It is warmed up first, then rolling resistance is measured once readings settle.
The early read
What Energy Mark reads
- Warm-up trend in force and tyre temperature
- Load and pressure stability
- Drum speed
- Ambient temperature
It predicts: Rolling resistance coefficient, with a range, and the label class it falls in. The certified result still comes from the full test.
